About OmLila

Ancient wisdom, one small step a day

OmLila is a daily companion built on the Upanishads, the contemplative heart of India’s philosophical tradition. Each morning brings one lesson, one practice to try, and one question to carry into the evening.

The lessons are not random quotes. They follow a seven-stage path where each step prepares the next: you learn to notice before you learn to choose, and to choose before you learn to watch the mind itself.

Written for every stage of life

The seven stages

  1. Somatic Awareness & Sensory Grounding (Annamaya–Pranamaya · Chariot Base)
  2. Value Discernment & Impulse Governance (Shreya vs. Preya)
  3. The Witness Mind & Meta-Cognition (Sakshi Bhava)
  4. Mastery in Action & Non-Clinging (Tena Tyaktena)
  5. Identity Transformation & Inherent Potential (Tat Tvam Asi)
  6. Universal Interconnection & Prosocial Agency (Madhu Vidya)
  7. Integrated Living & Self-Sovereignty (Jivanmukti in Everyday Life)

Each day

☀ Today’s practice is a small action you can do in minutes. ◐ Midday anchor is a short reset. ☾ Tonight’s mirror is a question for reflection. Every lesson can be read aloud with the Listen button.
